The first step before creating the trigger rule for the abandoned cart discount coupon email is to create the template for this email. Watch the video below or read the documentation to learn how to create this email template.
First, access your admin panel and navigate through the side menu to the “CONTENT” option. In the new submenu that appears, click on “EMAIL TEMPLATES” or “TEMPLATES DE E-MAILS”.

Next, click the “Add new template” button located in the upper corner.

In the “Load Default Template” setting, select the abandoned cart template option.

In the location field, enter the desired location.

In the template information, enter the desired name for this template. We recommend using the following name: “Abandoned Cart – with Coupon”.

In the template subject, copy and paste the following text:
{{var store.getFrontendName()}}: Items in your cart with a discount

The subject is how the customer will receive the email in their inbox. Modify it after the colon (:) if you want to set a custom subject.

In the template content, download the template below, copy and paste it. This is a standard template, but feel free to modify it as desired. You can also contact our support team to request customizations for this template.
Click “Save”, and your template will be created. If you want to check how the email template will appear to customers, look for the “Abandoned Cart – With Coupon” template you created and click to access its settings.

Next, within the template settings, click the “Preview Template” button located in the upper corner.

Wait for the page to load, and you will be able to preview how the email template will appear to customers in their inboxes.

Now, it is important to configure the abandoned cart rule to trigger this email template you have set up with the discount coupon code for customers to use.
